Da-Lite collaboration technology

DA-LITE logo

Da-Lite, a brand of Legrand | AV, was founded in 1909 when Adele De Berri took reflective silver paint and created a better projection screen for nickelodeon theaters, leading to the now-famous phrase, “The Silver Screen.” For over 100 years, Da-Lite has been designing, manufacturing, and marketing the most comprehensive line of projection screens in the world. Complete with a Design Center, experts help customers transform their vision into a custom projection screen.

Da-Lite’s proprietary screen technologies, from 16k ready to ambient light rejection surfaces, are created specifically for the most demanding installations – from military training simulators to boardrooms and houses of worship to classrooms.

As the world’s largest and most trusted AV integrator, AVI-SPL partners with world-class manufacturers – like Da-Lite – to provide you with the right projection screen products and surfaces for your visual display needs.

Tensioned Advantage with SightLine

Da-Lite’s new cable drop feature, SightLine, available with the tried-and-true Tensioned Advantage electric screen, gives the impression of a floating screen. A suspension system in its single roller design features 3 or 4 thin cables eliminating the need for black drop – the black border above the projection screen. While the market is accustomed to specifying drop distance upon ordering, now vertical placement of the screen can be variable as the cables accommodate a range of drop distances up to 70″ between the ceiling and the top of the screen – making ordering a snap. What’s more, this feature creates usable space above the viewing area to preserve architectural interests and provides the opportunity for camera/speaker placement.
